Anita was pursuing a successful career in finance, when she realized that she wanted to become an architect. She joined ASR and worked with our team for 6 months, during which she managed to develop her entire application, including her portfolio, from scratch. Anita ended up getting into every single school that she applied to. Her list consisted of Columbia, UPenn, UC Berkeley, Yale, MIT, Cornell, Princeton and Harvard GSD, which she decided to attend.

Rodrigo contacted ASR from Mexico City, where he lived with his family and interned as a recent architecture school graduate. After working with us on developing his entire application and portfolio, he applied to several schools that balanced his interests, including MIT, UC Berkeley and Cornell and was admitted to all of them, finally deciding to attend Cornell due to a very generous fellowship that he received.

Aleeya began working with ASR as a senior international urban studies student at NYU. Her program’s limited exposure to design and concept development made it hard for her to imagine herself being competitive enough to attend any of the top architecture programs. After joining ASR, and through a lot of hard work, she managed to overcome some very tough obstacles, and gain admission to Schools like Pratt, RISD and Columbia GSAPP. She ended up deciding to go to Columbia.

Rollin was already a student at Bennington college, when he decided to transfer to a B.Arch. program to study architecture. He worked with us in the Fall of 2017. We helped Rollin develop an initial differentiation strategy based on his multifaceted background, which brought lots of areas together and made sense of them by collaging their essences. Rollin’s Portfolio became a collage of stories of people he admired, like Miles Davis, Piranesi, Franz Kafka and others. He was accepted to almost all schools he appied to, including Pratt, RISD and Cooper Union. He chose to attend Cooper Union.

Tomas began working with us in the Fall of 2014, when he was a High School senior in New York. He brought with him a rich, multi-cultural background, a passion for art and design, as well as a unique talent for drawing and self-expressive use of mixed design media. Through an initial evaluation process, we managed to help Tomas not only differentiate himself, but discover how he fit in the competitive landscape of the academic architectural world. Tomas gained admission to most of the architecture schools that he applied to, including USC School of Architecture, which he decided to attend.

Danielle began working with ASR as a second year college student in the University of the Philippines, with dreams of studying architecture and design at the world’s most renowned design school, the Rhode Island School of Design. She built a complete application and portfolio, which helped her gain admission as a transfer student as well as financial aid for most of the schools that she applied to, including Pratt, Parsons, SCAD, U of Michigan, and RISD.

When he began working with ASR, Jun already had a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Korea, as well as an M.Arch. from the School of Architecture at Tulane U, in New Orleans. He wanted to complete a research based, post-professional Masters degree at a top US school that would bring great value to his career. We helped Jun organize his strategy and build a portfolio, which optimized his application. He only applied to Columbia GSAPP , where he was admitted on a fellowship.

When Mary began working with ASR, she was a talented and multifaceted applicant, but had very little design background, as well as a below average college transcript. Her passion and hard work, however, led to an exceptional portfolio, which got her into most of the universities she applied to, including Columbia GSAPP, which she ended up attending.

When she began working with ASR, Emily was a graduate of Ball State’s Architectural Studies program, and was working for a healthcare design firm in DC. Emily gained admission to all her favorite schools, and was offered major fellowships by Columbia GSAPP, UCBerkeley and Clemson. She chose Clemson, which (aside from offering her an amazing full tuition fellowship), offered a program that combined architecture and healthcare administration.

Sebastian, a native of Mexico, had a thriving career as a Creative Presentation Manager at Ralph Lauren, when he approached ASR to help him with his application to M.Arch. programs. A very unique candidate, Sebastian brought a rich background in design, and a specialty in the field of mens’ fashion design as well as retail experience design. Sebastian only applied to one university, Cornell AAP, and got in on a very geenrous fellowship, which he eventually turned down to return to his already established career.

Youcong Li began working with ASR during her last year at NYU, where she was enrolled as an Urban Studies student. She was truly passionate about the development o public places, and particularly places that utilized unused or underutilized interstitial spaces of the city at various elevations and locations. We helped Youcong develop a strategy and portfolio that allowed her to gain admission to most of the schools that she applied to, including her favorite choice, Parsons School of Design, in New York, where she is now a M.Arch. student.

Yasamin worked with ASR on the development of an Architecture School admissions and portfolio strategy that allowed her to apply to several of the best architecture schools in the US, including Columbia GSAPP and UC Berkeley School of Environmental Design. She was accepted by all of them, and was offered several financial aid packages. She decided to join UC Berkeley’s Master of Advanced Architectural Design program.
